It's also exactly 8 years since I last did a day's teaching, and exactly 10
years since the death of John Smith (Tony Blair's predecessor as head of the
British Labour Party, in case you were wondering exactly which John Smith I
meant!).
And it's exactly 50 years since my 1954 Lancia Appia was blessed at a
ceremony in Ravenna Cathedral!
Any other significant events that anyone wants to list (not that they could
be anything like as significant as those!).
Cheers
Alan

> I don't think anyone has mentioned it yet, but on this date in 1969
Chevrolet announced the end of Corvair production. I found it in a book
written by my brother and his wife titled "More on This Day in History". I
just happened to pick it up for the first time in months to see what
happened today. Pink Floyd also played the first quadraphonic concert in
1967.
