<VV> In-tank fuel pump, again

A couple of weeks ago I posted a link to a diagram showing the installation
of an in-tank fuel pump, and stated the author was unknown.  I was informed
that the author is Norm Helmkay and he was nice enough to send the narrative
that goes along with the diagram for inclusion.  Since that diagram got a
lot of hits when it was posted here but the information was obviously
