<VV> VV headlight switch interchange

I added "factory" hazard flasher to my 66, and it did not involve the
headlight switch. My flasher stops flashing when I put my foot on the brake
pedal. Does yours? In modern cars, the flasher keeps flashing.

 Is there any differences between a 66 headlight switch and a 67 headlight
switch? My 67 has 4 way flashers but I dont think that would matter.
