OK, a few things here:
What you got here is the circuit breaker in the headlight switch opening from 
the added load. The H4 high beams quite a bit more power, compared to 37.5 
for the stock sealed beams. 
H4s usually have different wattage high to low beams. Check this. 
Also, the recommended high beam is an H1 high beam only.
What do you mean HID style? I hope you don't mean those funky blue or purple 
colored bulbs. I might have to shoot you. <G>
The solution? You'll need to add relays for the high beams. It would do you 
well to do this for the low beams, as you'll pick up quite a bit of brightness 
just by lowering the resistance going to the bulbs. I recommend adding an 8 
gage wire all the way back to the battery to feed these relays. Sure, it's work, 
but the results are amazing!

Continuity checks out fine in all directions. H4's have three tabs like on all
older hi/low beam lights. To use these on hi beam only I bent away the third

  All went fine, hi/low worked as it should, until I plugged in the fourth
bulb. After about 30 seconds all four headlights, high beam indiucator, and
tailights start flashing like an ambulance on its way to a 10 car pileup.
  I disconnect one headlight and all is normal again. I reinstall the regular
halogen sealed beams it works properly again. I checked the wiring and nothing
is getting hot. It almost acts like some kind of RF interference buildup but I
am unaware of this being able to affect this type of electronics.
  Any ideas out there? No lights going off or coming on in my head right now.
I'm open to suggestions.
