Never assume anything.......the car is 34-44 yrs old....lube them.....then  
you'll know for sure....

PS  brake lining wear has nothing to do with bearing grease....I normally get 
60 -90k miles to a set of shoes.....highway.........a car around town will 
only get 20k...

I can do 40-60k in a year......city cars may only do 5k...
