Ned Madsen drove Steve Ziegler up to my garage today in the MAUM.  Some of
may not know that Steve (owner of MAUM) has had some serious health problems
recently, but is slowly on the road to recovery. I tackled a couple of oil
leaks by changing the oil pan gasket and put new seals on the oil cooler.
Ned dove inside, pulled out the seats, installed the special Clarks
cardboard and carpet kit that allows one to use the compartment under the
rear window.  Next he put down a new carpet and the seats went back in.
Several Mid-Continent Corvair Association members stopped by . . . the
conversation was great, but slowed progress some.  Steve had not been able
to get out much except for visits to the Doctor and Physical Therapy, he
enjoyed the change . . . and after all day with Ned and I he probably
appreciates his family more.
