You've gotten a lot of substantive advice on this question. Now, I'm going
to give the advice that I consider the MOST substantive, and that some
others (perhaps literarily challenged? or maybe just in a hurry) consider
the LEAST. There IS a book that covers this that you may not have known
about (no one has mentioned it), and it covers the subject well, the book is
available, and it's cheap (small book).
If you'd like to own and forever retain a pictorial guide to your
specific subject, order the Body Service Manual for 1965-1969 Corvair from
any automotive-literature supplier including, of course, our vendors.
Originally published by GM Fisher Body.
Hope this helps. I think it will.

1. remove trim panel. Near the pillar, there's a round
hole.2. raise or lower the window to access the bolt,
I forget twhich way. 3. loosen bolt. 4. raise window
to desired height. 5. With finger, rasie the window
stop to fit, then tighten bolt. 6. Replace trim. -ron 65,66
