<VV> Steering sloppy

Hello everyone

I recently replaced the relay rod bushing with a nylon bushing, and it's 
very tight now.  My steering still felt loose, so I adjusted the gear lash 
at the screw accessible through the trunk, and it was very good for about a 
week, and then got sloppy again.  I'm pretty sure I tightened the lock nut 
well.  Does anyone have an idea what I might have done wrong?  Thanks
