I also mounted my stereo in a plastic box that I got from Crutchfield. It
tucks it pretty far under and isn't really too noticeable, but it is a
stretch to reach it while driving. That is why I opted for a stereo unit
with remote control. My am/fm stereo radio with CD player and remote was
purchased from Crutchfield for about $150, as I recall. Sure beats the hell
out of the stock am, which still resides in its original location.

> For both cars, I use a $20 black plastic box to mount the aftermarket
stereo under the dash. With that, you're not limited to any certain kind of
system.
