We passed through Coeur d'Alene 3 or 4 years ago while on vacation. The location
of the end of the earth is a little north in my opinion-----The "Going to the
Sun Highway" in Glacier National Park is the actual location. Also Choteau,
Montana, a tiny place, which had a great little museum.
The mountain peaks seemed to directly overhead and who knows how many thousand
feet up. It would have been even more spectacular in a convertible! We covered
over 3,000 miles in a rental Malibu on that trip, including crossing Montana.
That wasn't our only trip "out west" but definitely the drive in Glacier Park
was one of the most memorable---
