If you don't have a failing front motor mount, then it's rebuild time for
your transmission.

Subject: <VV> Popping out of 2nd gear...
Gang,
I've got an odd problem with my '63 spyder... If I down-shift into second
just before making a hard right hand turn, my tranny invariably pops out of
gear. I've noticed that when I shift into 2nd, it doesn't feel like I'm
getting a solid shift... like it's just barely going into gear. However,
all the other gears go in solidly into place.
Do I need to shorten my shift rod a little? I would think that if my shift
rod were too short, that I would have a similar problem with 4th gear. I
haven't yet, but then I don't ever take a hard right in 4th gear.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Blaine
