<VV> Puralator Filters.

I remember a while back their was an issue with the Puralator filters.  I
purchased two yesterday from Manny, Moe and Jack (had a gift certificate
to kill).

They are different.  
        In the older packaging
                a rim and a thin inlayed gasket.
                circular inner holes.
        In the new packaging
                c shaped gasket that goes over the perimeter.
                Inner holes are more oblong.

The inside edges look close.

Is one of these the famous incorrect filter?
