Geoff,

Technically it is a TH425 transmission, but it has a lot in common with the
400.  On my ToroVair there is a switch mounted on the back of the intake
manifold that is operated by a rod from the carb.  The switch is a dual
switch controlling the kick down and the switch pitch converter.  On most of
the more conventionial setups the switch was operated directly on the
throttle linkage.  When I go out to the shop (2 miles away) later today I
will check on the wiring for you.
