Doubling the Tach is about right. My Fitch (3.55) reads about 3200 at 65
MPH.

Getting all the information is most of the solution.

It is my understanding, that with a 3.55 rear and 13" tires, your speed
is
double the tach reading, taking off the two zeros. So a reading of 3500
on
the tach, would translate to 70mph.
