Good thing to point out. You can't readily convert offset to backspace
either, unless you know both the rim width and edge thickness.
My understanding of offset from Fred Puhn's "How to make your car handle"
tells me the stock vair has 1" negative offset (more of the rim is inboard
than outboard). Does everyone concur with that description?
Provided there is no clearance issue, maintaining the stock offset will have
the least effect on wheel bearing load and steering characteristics.
Correct?
I guess for right now we don't know for certain what we have here if someone
wanted to duplicate Dave's setup.
And now for the $64K question. What tire/wheel size fits with the 1"
negative offset on the EM and LM?
