Relax Cash,
You are not likely to have the same problem....Read up on his experiences. He
replace his #4 bearing previously. First, he may not have gotten the correct
bearing somehow (I don't know how. Maybe it was undersize on a std journal and
just slopped around). And then possibly the two tangs were not opposed. It
is real easy to get the two tangs non-opposed. Real easy, and it can cause a
bearing failure if the tangs face the wrong way (don't ask how I know this).
Lastly yes, the bearing shells should all be marked on their backs as to their
size. And also as stated, this could be an oiling problem and not a bearing
problem at all.
