<VV> Weekend Adventures

A great weekend spent with friends and playing with Corvairs.  Not only did I
get to supervise Terry and Ned working on their cars (while adding commentary
and handing out an occasional wrench), I also purchased a 63 convertible body
from Terry.

     While Ned was out cruising the countryside Terry and I were hard at it
retrieving the body from on of Terry's outbuildings.  It had been ten years
since the door to the outbuilding had been opened and the building had settled
quite a bit.  We spent a little while swinging a sledge hammer making little
rocks out of a big rock.  A big thanks to Terry for the use of his trailer and
tow vehicle to get the car to my place.

     Somebody had started a restoration on the car before it was stored so
hopefully I can get her going relatively quick.  A little cancer to repair and
a few dents and dings, then paint.  After that I will transfer most parts off
of my bondo queen onto a good solid body.  I will get some pictures to Norm
soon for group Red with an expected out date of April 2005.
