You're preaching to the choir. I had to interrupt mom and ask her what
the dickens she was doing... she insisted she felt fine and asked me if I
wanted some breakfast. You couldn't tell her anything... I think in her
case she felt so much better after having felt bad for so long that she
just leaped back at life. Fortunately nothing bad came of it. Her
heart settled in and didn't jerk her around anymore after that.
We asked the doctors about whether she should even be on her feet or not
after only 4 days following heart surgery and he said she was likely gonna
be fine but for her not to over-do things. He also went on to say that
her quick return to a daily routine was a good sign and that many quad
bypass patients become depressed and sedentary following such procedures,
afraid that they might damage something, living in fear etc. Mom however
never seemed to fear much of anything.
Here's hoping Steve heals up promptly and gets back to practicing his
wrenching on Vairs. It's good therapy.
