So as to provide more info on the engine with the large gap between it and 
the front of the engine compartment: There is about 1.5" of clearance between 
the front shroud and seal and the firewall. The rear sheet metal is touching the 
rear of the engine compartment. It is early sheetmetal on a late engine. The 
new rear mount is compressed slightly at an angle, but not much. Hope this 
will help someone figure it out :-).
