<VV> windshield chrome for '62

Hello,
Can someone please tell me if there is any difference in the chrome that is
on the windshield rubber for the early Canadian models and American models?

I have a '62 Canadian in which the chrome is imbedded in the rubber.  I also
have an American '64 in which the chrome is fitted to clips attached to the
body. 
Is the embedded chrome unique to Canadian models?
