Todd, I can't speak from experience, but I do know that the front adjusting 
sleeves are different 1965 vs 66. I believe that the 66 sleeve sticks out  
further or has an extension that the 65 doesn't have. Therefore a 65 tranny won't 
bolt up without some modification.
