As the other folks have said, there's a socket for the switch and it's
easier if you move the alternator.

At the risk of starting a storm, I'll suggest that you don't change it out.
I've had considerable trouble with new switches and only one failure of an
"experienced" one.  Excluding the pile of short lived replacements, I've had
one failure in 24 years.  The last time I decided to do a preventative
change, I failed two almost immediately and just put the old one back in.
And, yes, I did use the right tool to put the new ones in.

If you're conservative, get a spare and the wrench and put it in your
toolbox along with that spare belt.  Or just forget about it.
