<VV> Mustang or Corvair (long)

For what it's worth, here's my take: Keep 'em both! I had a 1964 Mini
Cooper 'S' that I lovingly restored (took 10 years), drove for awhile (3
years) and then sold (marriage and kids had come along, and it wasn't too
practical at the time). Fast forward to 2003: The kids are grown and moved
out, and I decided to get another Mini. I found that the costs have
increased enough to make it impossible for me to get one as nice as the one
I sold -- and I'm too old to start restoring another one. I bought a
Corvair instead. It is fun to drive, fun to work on, parts are inexpensive
and the "Corvair Crowd" are the nicest bunch of people I've run into in a
long time. So, keep the Mustang because you've had it a long time, and it's
restored and nice; and keep the Corvair so you'll have something that you
can "play" with at the same time. I really think you would come to regret
selling the Mustang. Oh, and you mentioned a son - think about his reaction
when he's 18 or so and you give him a beautiful, classic car!! (The
Corvair, of course!) <GRIN>
That's my story, and I'm sticking to it!!
