<VV> Yenko Stinger - in General

I think in the case of Stingers, since the VIN does not indicate the
Stinger number, but, if one of the first 100, "indicates" that it meets
the requirements for the first 100, then numbers matching means the rest
of it; engine block, trans/diff codes, alternator numbers and such.

A car from the first 100 group will have the indication it has a proper
body code. Now one could transfer the VIN and id plates and if really
big into this, cut and weld the body stamping (number stamped into the
"frame").

However, I have seen two cars where the stamping was so light and due to
subsequent rust/corrosion etc., perhaps a special process could show the
numbers but the eye can't.

So, even that is not always reliable. Seth is absolutely correct:
rebody is a Stinger and no more.

Now - If you want!
to claim an "Original Numbers Match Yenko Stinger" and claim it to be
one of the original 100 cars, you can! (If you can prove it.) But a
rebody of one of those cars is exactly as much of a Stinger as any Kit
adapted Corvair - and no more. - Seth Emerson
