For that matter, a 140 engine made in 1969 is a pretty rare item regardless

I think I might have come in on the tail end of this thread... what's the
story on the car this engine came out of? Anybody know what VIN is stamped
on the engine crankcase?

I have to agree on this one. With miles that low I'd not wanna tinker
with it, especially with its being what it is.

Again agreed. A 140 core can oft times be had fairly cheap. Tear it down
and go crazy.
