"Big John" from Ohio poured oil regularly down the front fresh air intake
passages in his silver '60 700 to allow it to run along the insides of the
rockers, kept them greased up and preventing them from rusting.  Oil would
dribble out of the rear drain ahead of the back wheels...   he said it
helped him do burnouts.   Not much chance of that happening in a '60 4-door
with an 80/PG.   

Maybe after I finish welding up all that NOS rocker sheet metal (scored at
Carlisle) on my '60 4-door, I may resort to pouring a little oil in them
myself.
