Now Im gonna get jumped all over for this but I did it myself with my mig 
welder.  Ours was not loose yet, but didnt dare put it together the way it 
was.     Will know how well it has held up in a couple of weeks when we 
pull the engine to install the new 140.  Used wire that I was told would 
work for cast iron.  Did I believe 4 small welds equal size around the 
circumferance, spanning the three pieces.  So far its worked perfectly... 
Like I said we will se how its worked when we pull the engine....
