Bruce, I can fix that!  First, let's get something straight.  Porsche/VW only marketed the 914 as a Porsche in the U.S.  In Europe, they wore a Volkswagen label.  They were simply the replacement for the Karmann Ghia.  So go ahead, do it honors by giving it Corvair power.
