1 Sure clean it up and use it.....only  the snout in the pilot bushing gets 
any rotation ever..and usually only for a few seconds at any rpm.......

If you'd ever done anything in under a millenium..you'll not have rust 
problems.....like your old 65........gggg

If the shaft is rusted..what's the inside of the car like now?

If you'd DRIVE things more, you'd understand the function of the 
parts.....works for me!

If you continue to work this much on a "Corvair"..the lovely Wanda with tell 
you to do as Michael Jackson said.....Just         BEAT IT!!    LOL!!
