Come on Down!
The West Florida Corvair Club is having their 21st Annual Corvair Lovers
Holiday and Cars show from February 13 thru 15th. The weather outside
might be frightful, but you will be warm and toasty inside a huge area
called the Holidome with a heated pool. Everything will kick off at 4:00
p.m. on Friday the 13th  when Registration and Hospitality begins. There
will be indoor parts vendors hawking their wares, Every hour on the hour
we will draw for door prizes. All door prizes must be picked up before
the Awards Ceremony at 4:30 pm Saturday when any door prizes left
unclaimed will be given away again. In your registration package will be
two free door prize tickets and the first 50 who register will get a Dash
Plaque and a free Hot Wheels Vairy 8. You will also get a Goody Bag while
they last. At 5:30 pm there will be a Hospitality Dinner that is out of
this world. (Our club really knows how to put on a spread.) You will get
drinks, chips and cookies in the Hospitality Room until 9 pm. After
dinner there will be a Fan Belt Toss and we hope to have zip zap cars to
race on a track for all those young at heart. After all the activities
Friday night, you can go swimming in heated inside pool or enjoy the hot
tub until 10:00 pm. All the night owls can enjoy the Lounge until 1:00
am.
Saturday morning, February 14th, we will have doughnuts and coffee while
they last. This would be a good time to watch the sun come up and take a
walk along the beach before you start cleaning up your car for the Car
Display. If you prefer, take a walk in the late afternoon and watch the
sun go down, but bring a warm coat as it will be windy on the beach. We
will have leftovers, while they last, at 12:00 noon. You can enjoy more
drinks, chips and cookies until 9 pm in the Hospitality Room. At 9:00 am
Ed and Dan will hold a Tech Session in the Holidome and show you how to
lubricate Bearing Housings. At 10:30 am the ladies will get together and
be crafty! At 11:30 am the judges get to eat early so they can go to
their meeting at 12:00 noon and be ready to start judging cars at 12:30
pm. From 11:00 am until 3:00 pm will be our car display. After the
display at 3:00 pm we will have our 7th Annual Valve Cover Race. (We are
saddened that Miss Valve Cover will be unable to attend this year event.)
Our awards ceremony will be held at 4:30 p.m. 
At 7:00 p.m. on Saturday night we will have a buffet dinner for those who
registered for the Corvair Lovers Hotel Package. After dinner it is back
to the pool or hot tub  and to the Lounge until 1:00 am. Sunday morning
there will be our excellent Sunday morning brunch and a bit of
socializing before everyone hits the road to go back home.
Whew! And we promise a relaxing weekend? Come on down!
