Thanks for the info, Larry.  I can understand using a mild abrasive to remove 
minor scratches.  I can also understand using it to remove water spots which 
are actually mild etching of the glass and paint surfaces.  This is why many 
car waxes have mild abrasives in them.  (If you wax your car a lot or use a 
machine, be very careful or find a nonabrasive wax.)  However, I wouldn't imagine 
that this would be something that you would generally do on the inside of the 
windshield for anti-fog.  Of course, I may be wrong.
