what we use on aircraft aluminum is a product called "met-all".  seems to
work pretty good and there are sure a variety of people and process using it
in alot of different ways.  just remember, most trim is not pure aluminum,
but some type of alloy (aluminum) with a thin (usually .05 mil) thickness of
pure AL. reason: pure aluminum has very little strength, but sure polishes
up nice/good luck, bob mc
