In the last 15 years, I have spent the equivalent of months working and visiting in the Idaho Falls, Yellowstone, Jackson Hole area and do not remember ever seeing a Corvair there.

But maybe they are in hiding; there are quite a few here in TN but you don't see them out driving around.
