No, Corsas came with a stock 4 spd shifter. The cast "chrome" base "cover"
was stock.  

The aftermarket shifter kits work fine.  Adjustment needs to be more
precise; slop in linkage such as the pin hole in coupler need to be taken
care of.

If my understading is correct, Corsa's came with a quicker shifting
(closer)? If this is correct, is there a way to tell if mine still has
it by how long the shifter throw is? How well (opinions welcome) are the
aftermarket type shifter kits? No acronyms please.. hahahaha
