Mitch - The later cars had no drain holes. You will be able to pump (suck)  
it out of the plug on the side that indicates the correct level with the 
correct  tool. Both the trans and the rear axle assembly have "sight" plugs to 
indicate  the correct level. There is a passage between them so, over time they 
will level  out, but can just pull both and suck them dry. Then check out the 
correct gear  lube, based, again, on sharing between the Diff and the trans. If 
you are adding  all  new fluid, check with Red Line Oil or Amsoil for their  
recommendations. I know redline makes a special additive that you add to their  
regular gear lube to quiet down the squeeky clutches in the posi. You add just 
 enough to quiet them. - Seth Emerson
