<VV> Gas return line

I have a 63 turbo that didn't have a gas return line. I purchased the filter
with return line on it and the rubber hose that you splice in the over flow
line at the filler neck.
Putting it in the overflow line is a major job.Just cutting the line is going
to take some thinking sparks.BOOM.
I noticed that supply line from the tank is pretty accessable and a tee in the
rubber hose is easy. What problems would I have by doing this.
