No, sound engineering is not "Naderism". The notion that only through
government imposed engineering can we protect people against themselves is
"Naderism", as is buying into that attitude.
Cars from the '60s were probably just as safe as cars today, considering
that back then people took more responsibility for driving safely, knowing
that there were limitations in how much the car could protect them. Today,
people hold a lot of faith in the technology to protect them, so they do
stupid things while driving, like talking on cell phones, eating, drinking
(need I say, "CUP HOLDERS"), etc. Of course, we also have those idiots who
think antilock brakes make their brakes more efficient so they drive faster.
All such people are acting in the spirit of "Naderism".
And if this thread continues, I think we should move it over to VV-Talk.
