To add to what others have said;

1  push  filler neck down thru rubber with a piece of wood......it pops back 
in easily

2   Use the "correct" SOFT  gas hose  and you can attach the filler / vent 
BEFORE you install much faster!

I made the mistake of going to NAPA....getting their GOLD  hose......and it 
wouldn't flex enough! Luckily I had LOOOOONG  1/4 drive extensions!
