Y'all,
C'mon to the Sunday 29 August meeting at the Host hotel, Hampton Inn in
Cranberry PA, just NE of Pittsburgh off the turnpike (I76)-where I79
crosses.
How many folks have seen Corvair Stirling wheels? Halibrand?
We'll have an informal display of Corvair wheels. For everyone planning on
coming to either or both events, bring an unusual or non-stock or modified
wheel that fits a Corvair. You don't have to bring the whole set unless you
want to sell them. We want to share what these odd ball wheels look like,
some desirable, some not, that used to be put on Corvairs. There were
Hands, Stirling, Compomotive (Jim Schardt sold several versions over the
years), ET, Cragar, Western, American?, Halibrand (Jim S Drilled some midget
or some other dirt track wheels), Weld (more recently), Mini-lite,
Panasport?, and ?? Does anyone have a reinforced steel wheel to bring?
Real wire wheels?
There were others. What brands did I forget? Bring em!
