Have you isolated the miss to any one cylinder either by pulling plug wires
or some other method, and is that the cylinder you noted to have lower
compression?  For that matter, have you examined the wires and cap to make
sure either is not at fault?  I know this is all basic stuff, but IME the
basic stuff is the easiest to overlook.
