i had a nice engine block given to me for a 110 64 fc.(WB) it had a broken 4
flute tap in the top front right hole.(flush). i was about to give up after
trying all sorts of stuff and toss it when i decided with nothing to lose i
would try to burn it out. a quick hit with the cutting head and the hole was
almost as new. no damage to the aluminum you can see except a slight smoothing of
one corner. i ran a 3 flute tap in it and it was smooth as silk.so i feel i
saved a rare block. it has the replacement studs in it now awaiting my assembly
work. so when you are ready to give up get someone GOOD with torches..
