Dick,
You may be referring to the thread I started a short time ago when I asked
the same question. What I ended up doing was plugging the line from the
balance tube. Then I cut the vent tube, to make it just an elbow, and
attached a 7/8" compression fitting to it with a 3/8" barbed nipple attached
to that. My air cleaner came from Clark's with a kit that has a brass
fitting elbow with a 3/8" barbed fitting that attaches to the bottom of one
of the air cleaners after drilling a hole to accommodate it. Then all you
need is a small length of 3/8" ID hose to connect the two nipples.
