Hey guys and gals,
I want to thank EVERYONE who sent emails and called and prayed for me after
my unfortunate fall 2 weeks ago. I saw the Dr Fruday and he said surgery will
not be needed. I broke both bones in my right leg within 4 inches of the ankle,
breaking the tibia in two spots and they were not lined up properly. There is
still about an 1/8 gap where the bones are not touching, but new bone
material will grow in there, eventually. The fibula was broken in one spot, a very
long splinter like break, that looks A-OK now after the DR did his best to set
the bones.
It looks like we will have in the neighborhood of 50 campers at the
campground. If you had your doubts, don't wait much longer. I had given the deadline of
April 15th, but that was long before I broke my leg. I'm in Crittenden, KY
with Cheryl (we went down to the cabin on Easter Sunday to retrieve the computer
so I can work on the club newsletter up here this week) but I have a friend
checking my mail down there in Glendale..... so send any camping reservations
to my Glendale address, and they will be there when I get there on the 19th. I
will take the total checks to the club treasurer and he will cut me a check
for the full amount at the campground, and I will run it by the campground,
securing our spots.
Thanks again to everyone, and its GREAT TO BE BACK!!!
Drop me a line here if you have ANY questions...
Later,
Lonzo
