  my 67 110 pg tends to hesitate when trying to accelerate from a quick
deceleration...
  seems to be short on fuel.. if I pump on the accelerator it takes right
off..  any ideas on what i should look at?

Sounds like  "low float level"  and or  a weak fuelpump......when you 
de-cellerate, the intertia tries to keep the fuel from being drawn to the rear of the 
car...to the pump...
