I believe GM never used the York compressor, Ford and Chrysler did. GM used
the Frigadaire (Harrison) A-6 axial compressor in the Corvair era.

idea. weighs about 10# compared to 40/50# for the york. not sure you can
convert a york to work with modern cooling agents. i have one on my 140 as
well as pictures of the brackets that lew r. designed and tried to sell but
nobody was interested. the sunden takes about 10hp while the york is 20hp+.
