thanks Archibald Which Saginaw or top loader would you recommend? Do
they need an adaptor.

The Porsche trans-axles (and ZF) move the drivetrain back about a foot
but in so doing negatively impact the center-of-mass and polar-moment. A C5
trans-axle with either a Power-Glide, Saginaw or 'top-loader' will allow the
drive-train to move an approximate 4 to 5" and will not as negatively impact
the center-of-mass and polar-moment...
