"kingpin leading distance" do you mean caster?

this is a virtual kingpin ....extend a line thru your top ball joint, thru
the bottom ball joint, and to the ground.... note the direction & distance
from the center of your tire contact patch.
this is similar to the effects of caster, in that more gives a bit of
stability, but the tradeoff is, for each, more time lag in changing
directions ...
if you have understeer due to not-enuff tire sticky upfront, you can get
more steering by putting in more caster...the tradeoff is more time lag
....and also you now have to lift your car at each corner.
heh heh, did you catch the red dragon losing it's power steering at the last
rolex ? aaarghhh.
