You can save the cost of a new master cylinder by shorting the length of  the 
lever arm that operates the clutch master cylinder, same effect as  
installing a smaller diameter master.

I have  a hydraulic clutch on my Kelmark and the pedal effort is a little
much. I  use a .750 Wilwood clutch master cylinder and a Howe hydraulic throw
out  bearing.

Would going to a .625 clutch master make a significant  difference in pedal
effort? I believe that I have more than enough stroke  to compensate for the
smaller  diameter.
