I agree. The force is proportional to the cylinder area, so there will be a 31% reduction in force, and a 31% reduction in travel as compared to the travel before.

I have a hydraulic clutch on my Kelmark and the pedal effort is a little
much. I use a .750 Wilwood clutch master cylinder and a Howe hydraulic throw
out bearing.
Would going to a .625 clutch master make a significant difference in pedal
effort? I believe that I have more than enough stroke to compensate for the
smaller diameter.
