[V8Vairs] 17" wheels

I have 8.5 x 17 Corvette thin spokes in the rear (full C5 suspension) with  
275/40-17 Nittos. I was going to widen the wheek to fit a 315 tire on but I  
think it will interfere with the upper control arm. I couldn't use the vette 18" 
 wheels as they have more offset (or is it less?) and hit the fender  lip.
